English Conversation Club with Timothy Nutter

We’re excited to invite you to a weekly English-speaking discussion group led by Timothy Nutter — a native speaker, certified ESL instructor, and experienced teacher who has worked with students in Germany, the U.S., and Russia. Timothy currently teaches English at Media in Cooperation and Transition and brings a rich background as a videographer, theatre director, choreographer, and musician.

Our small group (up to 7 people) meets every Wednesday (First meeting of the group 03.09.2025) from 19:00 to 20:30 in the Green Salon to discuss everything from philosophy to art, politics, nature, and family life. These sessions are best suited for people with a good command of English who want to sharpen their vocabulary and develop deeper conceptual thinking.

Example topic — INSTINCT:
Why do we do what we do?
Are our choices always rational, or do some actions come from something deeper — an inborn impulse to act? We might explore examples such as:

association — family, friendship, love

aggression — anger, competition, sport

creation — crafts, cooking, art, technology

movement — walking, travel, dance, laughter

Do these behaviors stem from instinct — or are they just conscious decisions? Let’s analyze them together in English!

Participation: The host asks for a group donation of €40 per session
