Subbotniks in Friedrichsfelde
Subbotnik is a wonderful opportunity not only to do something good for the environment but also to get to know local residents, make new friends, and strengthen the sense of community. Together, we can show that Friedrichsfelde is a livable, clean, and friendly place where we all enjoy living.
How does a Subbotnik work?

A Subbotnik can be organized by local authorities, local non-profit organizations, or simply by residents themselves.

Most often, participants gather in spring or autumn to jointly clean and beautify streets, schools, and other public spaces.
Volunteers collect trash, trim trees and shrubs, repair benches, and tend to playgrounds.

After the work is done, participants often come together to share experiences and socialize at a picnic or barbecue.

Subbotnik on March 13, 2025, from 16:00 to 18:00
Stadtteilzentrum Friedrichsfelde organized a neighborhood clean-up near the Bodo-Uhse Bibliothek and the U-Bahn station Tierpark. The WIR.DE volunteer team took an active part in the spring cleaning. Local residents also joined in, supporting the initiative.

Stadtteilzentrum Friedrichsfelde Stadtteilzentrum Friedrichsfelde once again organized a neighborhood clean-up in the Friedrichsfelde area. This time, the meeting point was the square near the S-Bahn station Betriebsbahnhof Rummelsburg.

Our friends from Stadtteilzentrum Friedrichsfelde organized a spring clean-up along the promenade on Dolgenseestraße. The WIR.DE volunteer team took part in the clean-up together with local residents.

Stadtteilkoordination Lichtenberg-Mitte and mobail Stadtteilarbeit organized a summer clean-up to jointly clear the green spaces of litter that had accumulated over the season.

Active residents of the neighborhood gathered to clean up the park on Rummelsburger Straße. To make the Subbotnik more enjoyable, we handed out headphones for a Silent Disco to anyone who wanted to join.

Preparations for the summer season together with Stadtteilkoordination Lichtenberg-Mitte and mobail Stadtteilarbeit. After the clean-up — conversations with local residents, gathering ideas for the development of the surrounding areas. Meeting point: the fountain on the Dolgensee promenade.

Together with the organization Kehrenbürger, we held a Subbotnik around the U-Bahn station Tierpark. A group of volunteers and concerned local residents, armed with gloves, grabbers, and trash bags, worked to clean up the area for two hours.
