On June 14, the 17th annual "Wir im Kiez" festival took place at Münsterlandplatz in Lichtenberg for local residents. As tradition holds, the event brought together a large number of guests, neighborhood associations, initiatives, and projects. Over 30 organizations presented themselves at information stands, offering visitors interesting insights into local life, consultations, as well as games and activities for all ages.

Our team also took part in the festival and organized activities for children and families:

🎨 Animation creation — children invented stories, drew, and voiced characters, creating their own animated videos.

🎧 Silent Disco — a format loved by both adults and kids: dancing to favorite music through headphones.

🤖 LEGO robots — children of all ages (and sometimes their dads too) programmed routes and navigated robots through obstacles on a map.

🧩 Rubik's Cube games — competitions, tutorials, and fun challenges.

🏀 But the absolute favorite was basketball — kids lined up to compete against each other, and it almost seemed like basketball might become Germany's national sport!

The festival once again showed just how important such events are for strengthening the local community, sharing experiences, and simply boosting everyone's mood.
