Between 1960 and 2025, the housing cost burden has more than doubled. Increasing real estate prices are partly responsible for this. However, over the same period, the size and quality of housing have also improved rapidly. One can almost speak of a "housing quality revolution," as there are worlds between our living conditions and those of our ancestors.
